ICHET funding of demonstration projects in Turkey
Funding for national projects is realized in two different ways in ICHET. In the first case, ICHET looks for funding from external organizations such as UNDP, GEF, TUBITAK, etc. The consortium partners of the project prepare and submit the funding proposals fulfilling the format requirements of the funding organization. The amount of funding that can be released for the project depends on the funding organization’s criteria. In the second case, ICHET plays the role of a funding institute and partially funds the national projects together with the consortia members. ICHET can fund the projects up to US$ 250,000 per project, or 50% of the total project budget, whichever is smaller. ICHET’s main consideration for funding is to purchase the equipment such as fuel cells, hydrogen engines, electrolysers, etc., required for the projects.
