Unlocking the potential of developing countries
ICHET will sign “Collaboration Agreements” with global hydrogen and fuel cell centres of excellence in order to shape uniform procedures for testing, benchmarking, “round robin” measurements, sharing of measurements and experiences, and will aim at the development and application of such systems in developing countries through exchange visits, scholarships for students, organization of “hands-on” testing campaigns and seed money to explore material and concept ideas. This activity will prepare developing countries to contribute to the hydrogen economy thanks to the involvement of more researchers in the field, a sufficient momentum to influence policy and the creation of an industry for social and economic benefit. We expect these efforts to result in the creation of a technology network for competitive advantage through the unlocking of the research potential of developing countries with highly trained resources on hydrogen technologies.
