Supporting pilot projects in developing countries
UNIDO-ICHET is supporting the realization of hydrogen energy pilot projects in developing countries. Such projects should aim to promote the production of hydrogen from indigenous and preferably renewable energy sources and its energetic use in stationary or transport applications. Besides providing technical support in the design and implementation of such installations, on possible technology providers and funding sources, ICHET can also partially fund the projects themselves by up to 50% of the total project budget and up to a maximum of $500,000. Projects should have a duration of approximately 3 years and should involve local partners from the private or public sector. A framework for the submission of applications for funding is currently under development. In the meantime you are welcome to
contact us for any enquiries on possible hydrogen energy projects.
