Hydrogen production from lignocellulosics via aqueous phase reforming
”Hydrogen production from lignocellulosics via aqueous phase reforming” is a joint project bringing together the International Centre for Hydrogen Energy Technologies and the Chemistry Department of
Çukurova University. Its purpose is to study the use of surplus biomass from weed chaff and kenaf crops (lignocellulosics) in farming areas. Not edible themselves, these crops do not compete with those used for human nutrition and, therefore, have a very strong potential as renewable materials for producing hydrogen and contributing to the struggle against global climate change due to the formation of greenhouse gases.
