Senior Project Engineer: Dr. Osman Malik Atanur

O.Malik Atanur got his B.S. degree in chemistry from Cukurova University (CU) in 1999. During his doctoral studies, he studied the extraction, fractionationation, isolation and molecular characterization of bioactive compounds from various cultural or natural plants. He graduated in 2008. He worked as teaching and research assistant in the Chemistry Department of Cukurova University from 2000 to 2008. Then he studied as a visitor scientist in Westminster University, London Sought Bank University and North East Wales Institute of UK with the British Council grants . He has improved his knowledge and skills regarding theoretical and practical aspects on diverse methods of analytic instrumentation and related subjects. Besides common chromatographic and spectroscopic techniques, he also has experience using sophisticated analytical instruments like tandem MS applications, HPSEC-MALLS and NMR techniques. While he was in Dr.Erbatur’s research group in C.U., he also experienced on high pressure/high temperature extraction and reaction processes. Osman Malik Atanur has been working as a senior project engineer for the Centre since March 2008. His main responsibility in the centre is to assist and carry out national projects especially hydrogen production from biomass.
